The Countdown Continues

Last Wednesday, the PRSSA firm traveled to Cincinnati for a day full of exciting meetings. Our group of six students visited iconic places in Cincinnati, including Kings Island and the Reds’ Great American Ball Park. We spent the day meeting with communications and public relations professionals from these companies and learned so much. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch and even got ice cream on our way back to Ada.

Later in the week, I went home for my sister's dance competition because it was her senior night. I cried when they played her senior video. They had a video of each senior talking about their future plans, and when she and her best friend, McKenna, had videos back-to-back and both referred to ONU, I lost it. Specifically, when McKenna said, "I plan to attend Ohio Northern University and major in public relations with a minor in social media," I started sobbing. They are so excited to come here, and I know how much they will love it. I can't wait to have them here, if you couldn't tell.

I also got to see Millie over the weekend, like always. However, this time, she stuck to me like glue. As soon as she saw me, she reached up for me to take her. We were decorating our Christmas tree when she came over, so she was obsessed with all of the ornaments. We then put The Grinch on, and she was mesmerized. She kept trying to say "Grinch," but she can't say her R's very well, so it was pretty funny. I can't wait for Nick to see her on Thanksgiving.

I pick Nick up from the airport in less than a week! I can't believe it. This week is going to feel so slow because I am counting down the hours until we see each other. We will never be apart for four months ever again.

  1. The PR trip was so much fun! It's exciting that you will have some family here next year along with someone that is very excited about PR. I cannot wait for break, it couldn't come faster!
